This little guy was so shy and cute. And we waited literally weeks for the snow to melt so we could take these outdoors. Finally the middle of march worked out!

Grand Canyon

We went to the Grand Canyon after a light snow (mostly we had heavy snows this winter) but there was a lot of low clouds blocking the view. I got a few captures but even these had a little bit of wispy clouds in them that don't exactly add to the mood. Let me know if you agree.

Family Saturday

Well, no big plans this weekend so we took the boys for a walk to look for antlers. A regular activity this time of year. We didn't find any but it was a nice day to be out and about.

A New Day

I have recently been spending LOTS of time looking at other people's photos. While this can be inspiring it can also become demoralizing when I don't spend any time with my own photos. I start thinking, "I will never be that good". And I have my roller coaster hormones to thank for one minute feeling like I am the master of photography just to turn around and think I have no buisness charging people for what I do. So today I am going to post a few of my favorites from the last few months. The ones that remind me I know what I am doing (some of the time ;) )

Tax day

Today was a busy day. I took our taxes in, (YAY!) went to a parent meeting and ran around like a chicken with my head off the rest of the day. But I wanted to post something so here's a few pictures I have been messing with lately. I have recently tried some High Dynamic Range (HDR) which requires up to five exposures which are then melded into one strange looking picture. While not exactly photographically realistic I think they are interesting.

Weekend project

We wanted to take pictures outside but alas... it snowed all day. So we set up a black background and made due.
